usability

Websites compared to usability can be a finicky subject. if you make the website to easy to navigate it looks like a badly made website, but if you make the website to hard to navigate (i.e. bethesda's website) it is then also is a bad website. the trick for people like me with a creative mind is to tame that and make a website with the perfect amount of usability.

christian design

i think there are extremes of both christian and secular sites, but for the most part i think most web-sites are religously neutral. I think you might lose viewers if you are at either extreme of the spectrum.

expression vrs. dreamweaver

Exprssion and dreamweaver are basicly the same program. the only difference is just the user interface. Expression is cheaper than dreamweaver it only costs $149 when dreamweaver costs $399. so i would suggest Expression for any web designer.

dreamweaver

dreamweaver is a nice help for making websites. Dreamweaver handles tables and text really well, but i fear once we get into the deeper stuff it might be easier just to go into the html and write it that way.

steve jobs

not only was steve jobs a brilliant man who created arguably the best computer company. He was a man of morale, When Steve had kidney cancer Steve cheated the system a little bit to get a new kidney. soon after he realized how wrong this was so he began spending massive amounts of money just so he could help people that didn't have enough money for a new organ to get a new organ. The world has lost a true genius in Steve Jobs.

locker

-gym stuff
-extra notebooks and folders
-keys/wallet/lunch
-books/notebook

im not the most organized person so although my locker sounds sorta organized it not so it will be a struggle to keep my web site organized.

site appeal

i want my site to look simple but still hold a new edge about it that people will like i don't want my site to cluttered I'm not a huge fan of straight lines but when it comes to web pages i don't want to get to carried away. (i tried to upload my site idea but it said my picture was corrupt if that plays into your grading)

cy's site speculation

for my web site i will be doing a sprint cell phone review site. my target audience will probably be late teens and up. i plan to have a list of phones that people can look at that will have goods and bads about the phone. my goals for this site is for people to use my site as a reference long term i would really like to work out a deal with sprint concerning new phones that are coming to sprint. i really just want my customers to be informed about the phone they will be buying. In my view for my site really to reach success i would have to firstly be on the first two pages of the google site and have a deal with sprint about the new phones coming out.

Art

i think Art currently almost has a look of a person accidentally knocked a paint can on to their picture and tried to explain to someone what they were fealing at the time. at the same time i think older paintings and sculpters are almost boring to look at because they didn't smile. so i think to really create something special you have to have a new edgey look combined with the older simple look.

cave man dan

cave man dan's book really opened up the world of html for me. i real like i have a deeper understanding of the web and how it works now that i have read this book.
this is my journey poster i have made this in powerpoint using mostly clip art. i must confess i stole the journey logo from the web ,sorry journey.

html, whats the use?

html is neccesary for the everyday web designer for a couple purposes i will just be touching ojn one of them. In my view html is like a stanford profesor speaking but the helpers you might get for the web are like the modern day slang most of us use and have learned to love. You might be able to get a thought across with modern slang but if you were to use the stanford professors vocabulary you might be able to get across the thought better.

1000000000...

Larry Page and Sergey Brin, these men first met at Stanford University when Brin was assigned to show Page around the campus. Some have said that neither of them could agree on anything that first day they met. These two men have now been together for the last 17 years.  They started the most popular website ever created, Google.
